InvestorsThe Lagos State Government is looking to develop the Lekki Beach region for tourism purposes and The Latin Quarter will be ideally situated as the star attraction. It will be the hub of the African salsa vibe and lead the regeneration of the whole region. We have raised £500,000 towards the £2.5m total cost of the Salsa Club and wider resort, with a further £1m promised towards the project by the bank, pending approval from the Lagos State Government. We therefore need to raise a further £1m to complete Salsa Atlantic, the first phase of The Latin Quarter project. To undertake the second phase of the project, i.e. the hotel and conference centre, we need to raise £10m. We anticipate investing some of the profits from the salsa club so that we can begin this phase in December 2009. We envisage the hotel will be completed, operational and generating revenues by August 2011. The Latin Quarter Nigeria Ltd currently has four directors based in Nigeria and in the UK.
