It is my dream to open a salsa dancing club in Nigeria.
Salsa is an infectious dance that started in Cuba and has taken over the world. I’ve been on the salsa scene for over 17 years and visited clubs all over the place. Take a look at some of the places where I’ve danced salsa in the past year…. Believe it or not, most of the dancers I meet are Nigerian! And I wondered .. .what do they do when they go home? There are no Salsa clubs in Nigeria at the moment.
That’s where The Latin Quarter comes in, bringing the latin spirit to the Lagos. The resort will have the best in salsa clubbing, cocktails, fine food and a great atmosphere next to the white sandy shores of the Atlantic. In the second phase of development the club will be coupled with a luxury hotel complex so salsa addicts will feel completely at home. |
I will bring together the best parts of all the clubs I’ve been to, from the dance floor surface to comfy seating and cosy corners. The music will span the vintage to the modern salsa with themed nights and live bands.
Importantly for me, not only will the salsa club and (later) the hotel facilities bring salsa to Nigeria, but the project will also bring many benefits to the local community. We will improve the infrastructure in the area and the increase in tourism will reflect across the region.
